Thermistor's Electronic Temperature Sensors
A thermistor is a semiconductor that changes resistance with temperature changes (as the temperature goes up, the resistance goes down). Typical dependable life span of these devices is 7-10 years.

This is the replacement thermistor for the 1999-2002 Hot Spot RE, RLX, SE, SLX and the 2001-2002 SLXtra (wood sided) spa models. Also the Solana 2000-2002 X, 2003-2005 RX, SX and TX models. This thermistor communicates the actual water temperature to the controller to shut off the heater when the spa reaches target temperature.

It was also used on the 1995-1996 Highlife, 2002 Sovereign ILE (Special Edition) and 2000-2002 Hot Spring Vanguard. This thermistor was used on the Tiger River models 1995-1996 Khyber, Manora and Tondi and the 1997-2002 Siberian, Bengal and Sumatran spas.

This High Limit Thermistor is a safety device that will shut down the heater if the water temperature exiting the heater is too hot. This would indicate a "low water flow" condition. It is used on all 2006-current Hot Spot Mallorca, Sorrento, Trinidad & Tobago spa models. It is also used on all 2006-current Solana RX, SX & TX spa models.
